Scene 3
A young woman, Lane, stands in the middle of the stage, facing stage left. She has small, firm breasts, which are bare. She holds a small box with wires running between it and the side of her head. Lane says nothing and stares at a body target fixed to a brick wall. The target has bullet holes a little to right on the torso. A picture of the face of the killer from Amanda’s vision is taped on the target where the head would be. From time to time, she pushes against the side of first one breast, then the other, then goes back to looking from the target on the wall to the box in her hands. She seems satisfied, pulls the wires from her head, and sets down the box. She looks out, scanning very carefully. Her expression never changes. Lights fade.
